To ask the Secretary of State for Health, what recent discussions he has had with the Royal Colleges on the development and use of progesterone and tamoxifen to treat breast cancer.

George Freeman

There have been no such discussions.

Research into the use of progesterone in combination with tamoxifen for the treatment of breast cancer is still at an early stage and has not yet been trialled in humans.
